This thesis extends the Hoffman-Rudolph tvwB criterion defined for uniformly p-to-1 endomorphisms to show that it still gives a sufficient condition for a given $\bf p$-endomorphism to be one-sided Bernoulli. We also prove that given any two tvwB group extensions of the one-sided $\bf p$-shift, we can find an isomorphism preserving the natrual $\mathbb N \times G$-actions.

I describe, from the bottom up, a sequence of natural effective field theories. Below a TeV we have the minimal standard model with a light Higgs, and an extra neutral scalar. In the 1-10 TeV region these scalars are part of a multiplet of pseudo Nambu-Goldstone Bosons. We investigate the chemo-dynamical effects of multiple supernova explosions in the central region of primordial galaxies using three-dimensional hydrodynamical simulations of the inhomogenous interstellar medium down to parsec-scales. We find that the final protogalactic structure and metal distribution depend strongly on the number of SNe. The spectrum and degeneracies of the Dirac operator are analysed on compact coset spaces when there is a non-zero homogeneous background gauge field which is compatible with the symmetries of the space, in particular when the gauge field is derived from the spin-connection.
